Fisher, Edna Mae2005-10-27 Edna Mae Fisher, the daughter of Willis A. & Ada (Stoops) Higgins, was born on May 22, 1926 in Lowry City, Missouri and passed away on October 27, 2005 at Christian Health Care at 79 years of age. Mrs. Fisher was a longtime resident of Nevada, Missouri.She was united in marriage to Elmer Lee Davis on October 4, 1941 and he preceded her in death. She married Burton D. Fisher on January 13, 1976 in Miami, Oklahoma. Mrs. Fisher worked at the Nevada State Hospital and Nevada Habilitation Center for 18 years. She was a member of the Community Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, Burton, who is currently residing in the Barone Alzheimer Care Center; one daughter, Shirley Ann Bastow and her husband, Jack, of Nevada, Missouri; one grandson, Steven D. Bastow and his fiancée, Kim Dines of Nevada, Missouri, and two sisters, Ethel Perry of Concordia, Missouri, and Stella Ireland of Kansas City, Missouri. In addition to her first husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Otha, Herman, and Alvin Higgins, and two sisters, Opal Headrick and Juanita Higgins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2005 at Evergreen Memorial Chapel with Pastor Wes Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery, Rich Hill, Missouri. There will be no visitation.
