Young, Matthew Allen2007-12-28 Matthew Allen Young was born on February 26th, 1978 at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond, MO to Kathy Sue (Osborn) and Paul Allen Young. He died on December 28th 2007 in Nevada, MO at the age of 29 years and 10 months.Matthew attended Wellington and Richmond schools. He graduated from Richmond High School and wanted to serve his country so he joined the Enlisted Army Reserves where he was a Construction Equipment Repairer. He had achieved the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of the 842nd Quartermaster Co. and served in Iraq from November 20, 2004 to November 15, 2005. After returning from deployment he resided in El Dorado Springs and Nevada, MO, where he was employed by Orscheln Farm & Home Supply of Nevada. He enjoyed flying and was working toward achieving his pilot’s license. Matthew enjoyed spending free time helping others and spending time with his family and friends. On May 19, 2007 he was joined in marriage to Christi Golden. Matthew is survived by his wife and her parents and family Gene and Brenda Golden of Nevada, MO. Other survivors: his mother, Kathy Sue Osborn of Las Vegas, NV, his father and stepmother, Paul A. and Lila Young of Higginsville, MO; his sister, Elizabeth and her husband Richard Torento, niece Katelyn and two nephews, D.J. and Eric of Las Vegas, NV; two uncles, Larry and his wife Vicki Osborn of El Dorado Springs, MO and Rick and Diane Osborn and family; maternal grandmother, Shirley Reynolds of OK; paternal grandparents, Paul and Maxine Young of Butler, MO and numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Virgil and Dorothy Osborn of Stockton, CA and maternal grandfather, Myrl Reynolds of OK. Matthew will be greatly missed by family, friends and his extended family at Orscheln Family and Home of Nevada, MO.
